Ivan grew up in South Africa and has lived in San Jose for the last 25 years.  He is a licensed mechanical engineer working for AGC in Campbell.

Ivan is on the Board of the Christian Athletic Association (CAA), a soccer league for which he has been a coach or director since 2014.  He continues to support CAA because of his desire to encourage kids to participate in sports no matter what level of ability they have.

Ivan actively supports his local community in various ways, including:

• Collecting used wheelchairs for Joni and Friends, Wheels of the World
• Working with the City of Campbell on events and park improvements
•        Helping with the Campbell Community Toy Program

Ivan has been a big Sharks fan since “day 1”.  After graduating from college, he worked at the “The Grill” just so he could be there for every game.  He currently enjoys watching or listening to all of the games with his son.  Working with Sharks Alumni in supporting youth sports and community involvement is an ideal fusion of Ivan’s interests.
