As a California native, Julie has grown up locally, and has been an enthusiastic member of the community for decades.  She currently works for San Jose Unified School District in the counseling department, at Gunderson High School.​ Her involvement in hockey dates back 15 years or so when she began watching her son play roller hockey at the Silver Creek Sportsplex. She has been extremely involved ever since with helping out with teams, the facility and of course being an avid fan.

She has been a constant volunteer, holding various positions within non profit organizations.

• PTA – Executive Vice President, VP of Fundraising, and Secretary, at both the elementary and middle school levels.
• OGLL – Fundraising Director
• SSJYL – Fundraising Chair

She joined the Silver Creek Sportsplex Foundation in August 2016, and was appointed as Secretary.  Previous to joining the Board she has been involved with the Celebrity Luncheon since the beginning.  She has seen firsthand the wonderful benefits that this event has on the recipients in the community.
