Tom Pederson
Tom Pederson is a former NHL defenseman hailing from Bloomington, Minnesota. He was drafted 217th overall by the Minnesota North Stars in 1989. Although he never played for the North Stars, he joined San Jose in 1992 and played 225 games over four seasons with the Sharks.
Pederson had 66 points (19g, 47a) in his NHL career and then went overseas to continue his ice hockey career. He moved to Japan to play for Seibu Tetsudo Tokyo and then to Germany to play on the Hannover Scorpions.
Pederson retired in 2000 after shattering the third and fourth thoracic vertebrae in his back. He is also known for creating the Green Biscuit, which is an off-ice puck that is able to stay flat on almost any surface.
